Purchased a new P226 TACOPS IN 40cal at gun show Saturday. After 70 rounds the mag starts dropping after every shot. Same with all 4 mags.
Sig service this morning says send it in and they will get it fixed in 4 to 6 weeks. What? Not happy with that turn around.
Any suggestions on a local shop you would take it to?
Purchased from The Gun Zone booth that's in mesquite. Not sure if they have a shop or not. I'll be calling them when they open.

Take it to The Gun Zone, located at I-30 & 635 on the NW corner. They can either fix it for you, give you new mags, or ship it for you. They are good guys, just don't go in there pissed off about it.
Before you take it in, try loading it with 1 less round, see if it seats easier, if so then take the mag apart clean the inside and reassemble then try with full mag.
The TacOps comes with extended mags correct?

I think it's a mistake not to send it back to Sig. it's under warranty, they will either fix it or replace it. If you take it somewhere else, a. it's on your dime and b. they probably aren't going to warranty it anymore
it's not really that big of deal, heck 2 weeks of it is just shipping. (and BTW, because it's a manufacturer, they will probably send you a shipping label and they'll ship it directly back to you).
I strongly suggest you send it back to the manufacturer.

It's on its way to Sig. They sent me a FedEx 2nd day shipping label. Say they will send back same way.
Was hoping to find an authorized service center but no such thing I guess.

Would the mags stay in if it was unloaded or missing one round? Sigs ex tended mags have some problems, I have to take mine apart a few times a year and make sure the spring base plate hasn't moved or cocked in the mag, and to make sure the spring hasn't bound up in itself. Both of these issue have cause a failure to seat when inserting the mag. Happened once during a qualification, I had to SLAM that mag in, bruised my hand but had no choice

It started dropping the mag about every third or forth shot. Then went to dropping the mag after each shot. Tried all 4 mags and three different shooters.

The TacOps comes with extended mags correct? Gun Zone is good people, way better than B&S. Either way your good. Worth the wait to have the factory fix it. Like said above it is under warranty so use the warranty.

Update: Sig says gun in not repairable. Will be sending new gun but will have to go thru the FFL now since all new paper work is required.

Ask them to send it to Gun Zone, give them a heads up and see if they will waive the FFL fee

Being a new gun I'm surprised it couldn't be fixed. Another note, if it was that bad how did it get through quality control?

Also, it could be something fairly minor that can be fixed, but they want to keep the gun for engineering purposes as a sample item. Might be a problem they haven't seen before.

I fired this was the case, and it was easier for them to just ship a new gun instead of keeping his tied up

I bought a new sig 1911, got it home and the rear sight was way off to the left in the dove tail (QC). The front night sight went out after about 18 months so I sent the slide in for replacement of the sight. Upon getting it back the pin thru the front sight was pushed thru so far that it prevented reassembly of the pistol AND dented the top of the sight. Sent it back in and they did a decent job of reinstalling the sight but SCRATCHED the slide! Looked like spotty vice work. These experiences make me think twice about the P220 10mm I'm drooling over.

Having owned several Sigs (220,226,229) I would be interested in knowing what the problem was that could not be repaired? Hole for mag button, or mag catch, too large/out of spec. They do like to keep troublemakers as someone mentioned above. Hard to get sued over it if they have it...
