Just like the title says. I'm tired of hauling a lap top that I know how to use half the time. I've looked at the viewers they sell at academy and don't see $80 worth. I saw some iPhone jacks that plug into the charging port and allow you to plug the sd card into it and view pictures that way. What's everyone's thoughts or what do y'all use?

We just swap out the chip and take it back to camp. We have a 19" TV with USB port and a USB chip reader the size of a thumb drive in the trailer. That I what we view the pictures on.

I've been looking at the ones on Amazon that plug into the power outlet on your phone. I'm kinda looking for something small like that but I'm not sure how they work or if the work all that wells

My brother bought an adapter that plugs into the bottom of his phone. It works, but it's pretty slow to move from pic to pic. If you've got a couple hundred pics, it takes a while. Other than that, he's been happy with it.

I bought the handheld wild game innovations and I like it well. The screen is a little dark so hard to see at times but took it to Missouri and it worked well.

I use my camera in the field (if you have one), then back to camp and use lap top for larger viewings. This does not work, in some cases, for those who have game cameras that do not save the images in a DCIM directory. My hunting partner had this issue and could not figure out why his camera sometimes worked and sometimes didn't work for reading cameras. When I checked the game cameras, I discovered that his camera would not read only specific game cameras and the reason why was the directory issue. That was the only difference. I have an old digital camera that doesn't care. It will find all of the images on the SD card, regardless of the directory structure/naming. I've been looking at the ones on Amazon that plug into the power outlet on your phone. I'm kinda looking for something small like that but I'm not sure how they work or if the work all that wells For Android phones, they need to have OTG or USB HOST capability. Apparently the Samsung Galaxy S4 (mine, old phone) and S6 did not have these capabilities. The S7 (what I have now) certainly does. I use ES File Explorer to go through my images on the external card reader. It works very well and is quick.

I bought a Microsoft surface on sell for about $400. I use it almost exclusively for my game pics. Light enough to carry out in the field, take the chip out of the cam, download it to the hard drive, then put the chip back in the cam and move on. I spend time going through 5 cameras worth of pics nearly every week, deleting the ones I don't want, filing the ones I do, then backing them up on flash drives all from the comfort of my easy chair with my dog by my side and a beer in my hand.
I've found that most viewers out in the field are troublesome. It's either too hot, or the sun glare makes it too difficult to view the screen, or I would just plain rather be somewhere comfortable sifting through hundreds of pics.

I bought a WEme on Amazon for less than 10 bucks. Plugs into my Android and accepts the cards. Pretty easy for a quick view but on your phone the pics are a bit small for me.
