I am currently looking at 2 different ATVs. One is a 2015 Polaris Sportsman 570 with 12hrs and 55 miles. The other is a 2010 Can-Am Outlander 500XT with 68hrs. There is only $100 difference in asking price. Both are in excellent condition.
Which one would you choose and why?

Can Am will be more expensive for parts but will run laps around that Polaris. Whichever one fits you better.

The polaris is going to have way more low in end torque compared to the Can Am. Single cylinder motor versus a V-twin. Cost of ownership on the Polaris is going to be much less than the Can Am in the long run. Also what BigPig said its 5 years newer. Get the Polaris.

Im a little biased, if the po po is a base model then can am even if it's older, the xt has a lot of ad ons over base models and will hold value better.

My grandson's 2014 570 has caught fire twice, the seat melted and it was snapping axles. The first year it was in the shop more than it was in the field, one time for 90 days while Polaris decided what to do. They are impossible to deal with and you can't talk to anyone with authority. Check the ATV forums. They are full of reports about the seats etc.
