Cleaned up ready to cut the door

Cut the top and a portion of the sides so we could add the strap and hinges

Moved on to the sides and let them cool completely

Cut the bottom except for the ends and let them cool

Got the flat strap on the sides and the handles on

This thing has a LOT of cooking chamber

The lid deflected about 3/16"-1/4" on the bottom despite letting it all cool down before finishing the cut. It will be clamped down and gasketed so it will be fine.

Daddy didn't raise no loser rick

Tracks for the removable reverse flow plates is in

I added some handles to the plates for him, there will also be a drop in charcoal basket that hangs from the same angle iron.

Forgot to show y'all the firebox grate. That's 1" expanded metal about 1/4" thick, it won't be bowing any time soon!

Smokestack ready to go on, this was the only option we had to do it with the open top firebox but I think it's gonna look pretty good.

Is that enough flow of he uses the charcoal baskets? I ask because I am building a 44Lx20D grill and according to the website I checked for flow I had to run 2, 4 ID pipes for enough flow

Racks will be 24"x40" and 17"x40. Ought to hold a rack or two...

I made the stack according to the smoker dimensions. I can't imagine it won't grill just fine too

I need to go back and look again. Either way I have 2 stacks. Just curious of the weight when done. My grill is already over 700 lbs, prob close to 850 once finished. Hopefully that's a theft deterent at the lease.

The pipe, reverse flow plates and the firebox are right at 725ish alone. I'm thinking 950 once she's all rigged out.

Got the front shelf finished up. It needed to fold down for storage, so I rigged it up with angle iron to catch the gussets. It holds pretty well

Also got the bottom shelf finished up

Adding the shelf exposed the face that the flat strap on the door is a little crooked. I'm gonna trim it up to make it right.
