Finally got my 10.5 inch 6.8 SPC put together and I thought the thread pitch on the YHM barrel was 1/2-28 but its 1/2-36 so I had to return the thread adapter. I have called everyone and nobody in Killeen or Austin has the one in stock and I need it by Friday morning. Anyone know where I could find one in the DFW area? Im willing to pay for overnight shipping.

You might check DSG in ft worth
If you shoot a young deer because a neighbor will shoot it, you are that neighbor.

Would it be easier to maybe get the muzzle device in the correct thread pitch? Might have better luck with the short notice.
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

Might have better luck with the short notice. prob would be but I already have the muzzle device I plan to use and will be having the barrel threaded by Morgan soon just wanted to use it this weekend. I had also bought a thread adapter thinking the YHM barrel was 1/2-28 but it's 1/2-36. I will prob shoot it without a muzzle device this weekend and the. Take it apart and send it to Morgan.

Lol get ready for some fireballs. The sound will be about the same with or without a muzzle device unless you're using a break or like a flaming pig that sends the concussion down range. I know my 10.5" 556 threw some fireballs when i first got my stamp back and I didn't have my YHM QD for my suppressor yet.

Well just went and shot the 10.5 in SBR in 6.8 SPC without a muzzle device and wasn't too bad at all. Groups were a little more open than i expected but then again it was a hot barrel and its short so not really sure how tight the groups should be at 100 yds with an Aimpoint PRO. They were prob grapefruit size groups with a hot barrel at 100 yds. I zeroed it about 3.5 in high at 100 and that should have me close at 200 yds I will confirm this weekend.
