Thanks everybody for your replies. I was able to make contact with Cody and hunted this past weekend with him. Cody is a master at his craft and it was a great hunt.

Cody, I don't have anything in my inbox from you. Rborn,
He sent me a message and still haven't been able to get ahold of him! I hear if he's on a ranch almost impossible to get ahold of till he gets to town I've spoken to someone that told me they had talked with Cody a couple of days ago, so I am not sure what's going on. I have not heard from Cody yet. Thanks everybody for your replies. I was able to make contact with Cody and hunted this past weekend with him. Cody is a master at his craft and it was a great hunt. Master at his Craft Glad it finally worked out

It is great to see Cody turning over a new leaf. Now maybe he can start paying those people he wronged back there money. It is never too late, to right a past wrong. Good luck to you Cody.

I agree, he has a lot more people on this thread to make the wrongs right. And him coming out of hiding and posting himself for each wrong he makes right until everyone gets made right would go a long way towards his long term future.

I hunted with Cody at his ranch near Rockspring in November. I too did not want to go public with my story but after several attempts to call Cody and several text which I do have copies of all and he not responding to none. I have no choice. I hunted for whitetail on his Loma Alta ranch. On the actual hunt we had a good time the guides were knowledgeable and the food was great. But in the blind as bucks were spotted I was encouraged not to shoot as we would see bigger deer. I understand and appreciate what the guide was attempting to do for me as he wanted me to have an opportunity at the largest buck I could. However as the hunt ended I never raised my rifle to take a shot. I also was told that if we encountered Audad or Axis I could take one of those as a substitute. A I did see an Audad but was told he was to small. Again In was fine with that part. The part that I was not fine with was that It was a guaranteed harvest hunt but money to be paid up front for the expense of feed and guides. Again I have emails and text to support this. After the hunt ended I was told that myself and one other hunter in the party would be given the opportunity to return that same calendar year or receive a $1150 refund which was the harvest fee. I told Cody that I would not be able to come back as I live in North Carolina and it was a bit much to ask us to return the same year. I however told him that if he honored his refund policy I would contact him at the beginning of this year to set up a hunt for the 2016 season as we did have a good hunt the bucks were just not the right size according to the guides. I may would have even considered coming back with the balance going toward a hunt this year but I cannot get Cody to respond to any of my text or calls. I understand that he does hunt in areas that are remote because I have been there but at the same token eh is not out of service for 3 months with out seeing a text or missed call. I just simply ask that he had done the right thing.

No, I have not heard from him since November. Like I said the hunt was as advertised with the exception of no refund because of no harvest. It was actually $1150 x 2 = $2300 for 2 hunters that did not harvest.

The worst thing is I work Law Enforcement and as everyone knows we don't make that much money. I worked a extra security job for a year to pay for the hunt as the total cost with Texas license airfare and cost of hunt ($1750)was around $2600 per person.

Sorry to hear that had a similar experience a few years ago. Lost $150 in deposit money and then was called a liar on this forum by his friends even tho I had receipts and proof of never having a single call answered. If someone took my money and did that I wouldn't stop with a rant get a lawyer and get what is owed to you back. It's not up to some else friends to decide if your wrong or not. Just a question. . Your going to get a lawyer over $150? Im sure a good lawyer could rack that $150 up to $5,000+ for you but your attorney fees will be a lot more than that. I don't have a dog in the fight but when someone wants to play the "lawyer game" get ready its expensive and at the end of the day it all boils down to who wants to spend the most $ and who has the most $. He shouldn't need a lawyer/attorney. This isn't a civil case, it appears to be more along the lines of a criminal case(s). If money/currency has been exchanged and person(s) have not received their goods/hunts it is Theft. May not be more then a misdemeanor but usually if enough people prove they have been ousted X amount, the DA/CA usually takes the entire sum and rolls it into one charge. Best of luck to everyone and I hate to hear some of you got shafted. PS please don't burn up my PM box about this. I don't come on here enough as it is

As far as it goes for me, I have put it in Gods hands and made peace in my heart with it. It took a few months but I have forgiven C3 Guide. And maybe someday God will provide an opening so that I may return to Texas to get that deer I've dreamed of for 35 years.
