I know it was previously posted about the proposed changes for WT hunting. But, I haven't seen the details posted yet. Sorry if I missed it:
“I am proposing that we add four (doe days) in the eight counties that don’t have any, and we have nine counties with a four-day season that will be going to 16 days,” said John Silovsky, TPWD Wildlife Division district biologist for the Post Oak region. Also considered for an upgrade will be counties in the northern portion of the Pineywoods that lag the rest of the region in days in which hunters can take antlerless deer without LAMPS or Managed Lands Deer permits. Two in the far eastern portion of the Edwards Plateau, Bell and Williamson counties, could also be getting four doe-days for the first time.Currently, Smith County is slated to continue with just four doe days. An inconsistent deer population countywide has biologists hesitant to increase the number hunting pressure on does. The idea was taken to TPWD commissioners in November. It will go again in January before being sent out for public comment. Silovsky said counties that are looking at their first four-day doe days include Kaufman, Ellis, Navarro, Freestone, Limestone, Falls, Milam, Burleson and the portions of Bell & Williamson east of I35. Counties that should go from four to 16 doe days include Lamar, Red River, Morris, Camp, Upshur, Gregg, Henderson, Anderson, Leon, Robertson, Madison, Brazos and Grimes. The dates would most likely be the first 16 days of the season, but there is a chance they could be split. Four-day doe days would continue to be over Thanksgiving. It is possible that the expanded doe-days could be just the beginning of liberalized antlerless deer harvest in East Texas. However, deer regulation changes are on a four-year cycle so any additional moves probably won’t occur until at least 2020.
Additionally there is a proposal to expand the late-season muzzleloader season into the Post Oak region. The expansion of the late muzzleloader season is being proposed for 27 Post Oak region counties. The only ones not in the proposal are Grayson, Collin, Rockwall and Dallas which remain archery-only counties. It is already open throughout the Pineywoods and Oak Prairie counties. If approved the first muzzleloader season would be Jan. 2-14, 2017. Regulations during the muzzleloader season would be like the early archery season with hunters allowed to take two doe and two legal bucks, if they haven’t already used their tags.

Won't matter. Can't shoot does if you don't see does and we never see them in Upshur County.

Along with Bell and Williamson counties I do wish they would include McLennan and Hill counties east of IH-35 in these reg changes/extended muzzleloader season.
