bigger bodied than most hill country, lots of poaching (scum bags) in some areas the numbers are good, it is a one buck county with antler restrickens
hold on Newt, we got a runaway

I hunt on the southern end and I have decent deer numbers. I usually see deer every time I go out. When I hunted the same place in the 90's I might see 3-4 a season. I shot a spike this year that weighed the exact same as a 12 point my bil shot in the hill country. It's a four deer county, you can shoot two does during bow season and two bucks meeting antler restriction laws. I don't shoot any does because we are trying to keep a stable herd. What area are you looking at?

East Bastrop County.

there was a 168 toad killed (poached) in the Tahitian Village subdivision back in 2013. Likely a neighborhood pet

I saw a couple good bucks on cam last year but never saw them in person. Fair amount of deer including a lot of young small bucks

Have property next door in Caldwell county. The last few years we have had good numbers and heavy horns.
