ok we all know opinions are like ........, but I thought i would come here and throw this out. I was looking for my daughter a 1911 for xmas ended up with 2 hers and a frankengun. both function 100% when i shot them but the frankengun barely cleared the ejection port when ejecting, just replaced the springs have not had a chance to test yet. this gun is stainless reciever park slide w gi sights. Since this is a franken gun already it will be my test bed. If it was yours what would you replaced and be specific and give a reason why the parts ya chose. This can be from mild to wild. Thanks

Wilson Combat Mag - cause weak spring along with floppy follower = feeding problems
extended slide release - cause most thumbs are too short to work it
full length guide rod - take the slop out
beavertail safety - for comfort

I put a Dawson curved and flared main spring housing on mine, best thing I ever did to it. Next will be a longer slide release. Other than that I'm pretty happy. I've never shot another 1911 that was of higher quality or more custom, so I don't know if there is a better trigger than what I've got. Kimber CDPII Custom

You could have yours worked on by a gunsmith for a reasonable price.

full length guide rod - take the slop out
beavertail safety - for comfort with ya on the mags, this thing has to have the slide release replaced because it wont hold open w standard mags but will with wilsons due to design. not sure on the extended slide release or safety like the gi set ups, but still trying to decide not a fan of the full length guide rod have a competition gun w it beavertail absolutely
