I have different parts and have been wanting a cheap 15" long handguard that free floats. I found this. Any opinions on either this product or other similar UTG products? http://www.primaryarms.com/utg-pro-model.../p/kt-mtu019ss/I assume for a part like the handguard, going with this cheaper option does not effect accuracy of reliability, like a cheap barrel. All thoughts are welcomed.

I have a few of these and really like them. Very slim and a nice locking design to prevent rotation.
FWIW - I really do not see the value in other handguards costing 2X. They are same/similar aluminum and as long as it does not rotate and feels good in the hand it makes no difference to me.
Precision Aero also has nice ones at very reasonable prices.
I was wrong...on anything technical. Fitz............. is right, ya know............

Check out the ALG hand guards that Primary carries. I bought a 15 inch Mlock from them last year for $99 on a holiday sale. I have held the UTGs at gun shows and they seemed heavy and not as quality looking as the Giesselle family's.

Haha I really likes yours thinkings! I might do that. I guess the UTG will be my back up in case I'm too scared to go that cheap.

See no reason to shy away from the FireTac. If you are looking to save some money that would be the way to go, plus I like the fact they supply shim washers to time the barrel nut.

I don't have a problem with cheaper hand rails. They can sometimes have sharp edges, and sometimes don't line up perfect, but with a little ingenuity you can make them work just fine. Prob going to order that UTG for my wife's AR. Thanks for the heads up
