What value would you guys put on 500 rounds of 22 mag ammo? I may consider selling some since I no longer have the rifle

Anyone that would pay those kind of prices for 22 magnum ammo is really STUPID! I would never pay over $50 for a brick of rimfire ammo. It just isn't worth it.

Wanna trade for some 22lr? No, but thanks for the offer. I don't have a use for it either and I feel like the mag ammo will be harder to find and more valuable anyhow.

I haven't paid that price and wouldn't so I guess if paying that makes a fellow STUPID I'm okay. I simply gave the man a point of reference, didn't tell him that's what he could get for it.

Guess you do not shoot 22Mag, 17HMR, 17WSM or 5mmMag. Those have been more than $50 a brick for years. 20 years or so ago when I got my first 22mag they were over $5 for a box of 50. When the 17HMR was introduced ammo was $50 a brick and prices have gone up.

$50 for a brick of 22WMR?
I think Clinton was prez when it was that price.
22WMR is 2-4 times the price of .22LR and pretty much always has been since I've been aware.
$12 per box is cheap, $16 average, $20 average at shows, $25 (some for sale here) is stupid.
Anyone that wants to pay $25 per box, send me a PM.
I sold a brick of 10-50 round boxes of CCI to a friend for $160 a while back just for reference.
Pass the gravy.

.30/rd is decent these days. Anything under that is a good deal if it's decent ammo

I think it is the popularity of the PMR-30 and over production of 22lr that has caused the shortage of 22wmr. I know I barely shoot my PMR because you can burn through 30rd magazines pretty quick.

Why shoot a .22 if it costs .$30/rd? That's just goofy as hell.

CCI maximag .22WMR 40gr JHP - Walmart 3 50 round boxes $35.33 out the door / tax included. Not what I'd call cheap, but good enough for me.
The two I usually get it from have a 3 box per person rule/limit, the one in the town near ranch HQ doesn't seem like they enforce any limit.

My max is $15 a box for the varmint stuff. Wish I could find some more reasonable "plinking" grade ammo.
