If I were you, I would look for his sheds. Just in case he doesn't show up next year. Heck of a buck for sure.

I'd have slept in that stand most of the year

165ish. Looks to be a main frame 8 with forks and kickers. Beam length average doesn't come out but halfway on nose. Width great and height outstanding. I'd say 4.5 years old. Either way that is a heck of a Stephens county buck for sure.

I have had the same issue on my lease last two years. We tried bow hunting quite a bit this year and the weather was just too warm as the deer came in right after dark or would leave right before legal in the am every time. never got to draw on a deer this year, and last year we didn't bow hunt near as much as we should have.

I would buy a bow and practice, practice, practice. If he made it through the season he will be a dandy next year given the amount of water and greenery we have had this winter. Even with a late summer drought, he will be mostly formed up and be ready for the corn feeders to give him some extra energy to get ready for rut next season!

Great buck!

Nice buck! He looks older and hopefully he's still running around out there. I always keep the cameras up till they drop their horns so I can get an idea of what we have. We usually have a deer or two disappear at the beginning of the season so we think he's dead and then, he reappears after the season. Sneaky
