This is last Saturday nights pig. With all the rain, the water table is still up and it seems nothing is draining at this location. it has made it hard to get around on foot or UTV. It seems so odd after the long drought. I was using the IR Defense thermal for this hunt. Being a cool, damp night, everything sorta flattens and blends with thermal giving you less definition, but animals stand out and that is all you need. The IR Defense offers a great sight picture, love the scope. However, I am thoroughly underwhelmed with the video out signal. I wish they would do a better job with that.....and make it to where you don't have to turn it on each time. Anyway, here is the video:

Those muddy bacon hunts stick out well in a hunter's memory, seems almost like work getting animals recovered and to the chopping block.
Good vid

Well, you didn't say anything about falling down in the stuff, so it should be a happy memory - not so much about work and misery.

The only good thing I have found about the mud is that hogs drag better when it is slick. However, that does not decrease the level of overall difficulty, LOL.
