This is a pre-ban elephant ivory handled hunter of my Sendero pattern, it will be my last one with this ivory. I have not made a Elephant ivoroy knife handle in years and found it in my box of handle goodies. I thought the DSC show would be the place to go with it and I have no more of it. I bought this in 1999. The blade is approx. 5 inches in length, the pattern is of a Dog Star pattern Damascus with steel from a tram track that was in the bombing of Pearl Harbor, Dec 7, 1941. A bigger photo can be seen on my facebook page, Jerry Fisk, MS Custom Knives. See y'all at the DSC show, come by and rest your feets.

Beautiful. I have an old G.W.Stone knife unused and unsharpened with Ivory handles. Has one small crack in the handle. Anything special I should put on it to keep it from drying out or cracking further?

Hunting, with stag or Ivory do a soak in mineral oil twice a year. Use the day light savings time change to remind yourself to change oil in the handle. I use a coffee can full of ole regular mineral oil. Put a piece of a paper towel down in the bottom of the can so you do not scratch anything and just complete submerge the handle in the oil. It will not hurt the guard, blade or even engraving if you have it. Leave overnight, wipe with soft cloth after a 8-12 hour soak. That has done the best that I have ever tried.
With cracks, you can fill them with super glue and use 400 grit wet/dry auto paper to sand, use the back of the sand paper after that, then go to a brown grocery sack for a better polish. Then soak in oil.

What a beautiful knife. With history on the steel and the handle, too, it's a one of a kind piece. Great job!
