As stated we have some Monster Mule deer in Sonora Mexico. We have a couple of openings in January 2016 and a handful in January 2017.
The best time to hunt is in January due to that is the peak rut.
The hunt is 6 day all inclusive hunt. The price is $9,500 plus $500 for weapon permits and license.
The lodging is nice hacienda style lodging with gourmet meals.
The hunt includes pick up and drop off at the airport. Guide Beer
The hunt excludes Hotel stay before and after contracted hunt dates. Liquor Dipping & Shipping of your trophy
We hunt multiple ranches due to only taking so many bucks off each ranch because our strict management program. All the ranches are within 2 hours of Hermosillo International Air Port
The hunts are mostly conducted by riding around and glassing from the high rack. Some days you might see 3 bucks the next you might see 50 bucks. We only shoot mature bucks 180" plus. Last year we had a 196" average this years record rainfall antlers are going to be amazing.
I have personally hunted some of these ranches I can tell you there is no better place to hunt mule deer
Unfortunately I will not be going on my hunt this year due to having back surgery.
I have also filmed a couple tv shows on the mule deer hunts with Hunting Illustrated with John Mogle & Courtney Crane.
Filmed a hunt with Jim Shockey for a Mule Deer/ Desert Bighorn Combo
We are going to film a show with The Best Of The West TV show this season.
If you have any other questions feel free to give me a call 210-569-2878
My email is robertstuart@tafricaoutdoors.com
I have plenty of references and pictures available.
I would love to talk to you more about these amazing mule deer hunts.
Thanks in advance and have a great day.

Just got back from Hermosillo on this hunt with Ubaldo Lopez, ended up taking this mature 4 x 4 on last morning of the hunt. I passed on 2 better bucks on my first morning hunt looking for something better thinking there were 200" bucks behind every bush (ha ha). There were 4 others hunters in the particular camp I was hunting from and 3 of the 4 harvested bucks. Other hunter passed on a couple of bucks looking for something closer to 200". All the bucks harvested were in the 170' to 180' range, not sure about the marketing in this original add about 195" average? 200" bucks are not very common on the ranches that we hunted and takes a bit of luck to cross paths with them. Accommodations were nice and food was excellent, think I gained few pounds on this trip (ha ha). My guide (Marcus) was top notch and went the extra mile to see that I got on a mature buck before I departed. The rut was just getting started towards the end of my hunt and my buck was tending 2 does when we spotted him. Most hunts were riding around in the high rack looking for good bucks and a couple of mornings we sat on a ridge and glassed. I was satisfied with the hunt and we ended up hunting on 4 different ranches looking for a good buck. This is a true fair chase hunt with no baiting or feed stations and we saw good numbers of mulies on most hunts. Hunted from sun up to sun down stopping to take a lunch at ranch hands house we were hunting with a siesta prior to afternoon hunt. Overall a positive experience and would recommend hunting with Ubaldo! Regards Kent

Overall a positive experience and would recommend hunting with Ubaldo! Regards Kent I am glad you you got your mule deer Kent. As you stated it is fair chase hunting all low fence which is always a challenge. The hunting this year has been the same as it has been in Texas. With a milder fall to winter and rain to not getting freezes at the right time. Has made is tough hunting. Usually the 15th-25th of January is their peak rut down there. It will probably be the better hunting late January. The average was correct for last year had a great season. We typically only shoot mature 180" deer plus. I had a customer shoot a 228" 30" inside. I am glad you enjoyed your hunt. Robert Stuart

I have 5 openings left don't miss your chance at a Monster Mule Deer
If you come down when the film crew is there you have a chance for your hunt to be filmed for a TV show.
I also have 2 Desert Bighorn hunts available with a 100% kill rate. Book sheep have been harvested in this hunting area and more are still out there.
