That's what it is all about, right there, sir. Congrats on a nice and hard-earned buck for the young hunter. Experiencing success after being persistent and holding out for a mature deer will be a great lesson for your son that hopefully puts him on a shorer trajectory to become a more selective, management minded than most at an earlier age.

Thanks guys. One thing this boy knows is patience in the deer blind. I have taught him since he was 5yr old that we only take mature animals we do not kill just to kill I don't care if we go home empty handed all year he will do it the right way. I know a lot of people don't care and that's fine it's their right but I want mine to know the difference and be selective. I can only hope he learns and respects what he has be taught one day as all Dads do.
