I have a friend who has 007 coons on his ranch. I have had problems in the past with the little guys messing with feeders but these coons take it to a new level. They have figured out how to unscrew the varmit cage and make it swing from the feeder, then they enter the varmit cage and use it as a recliner while they spin all of the corn out. Has anyone else ever had dealings with coons like these?

I think the bigger issue is the leaning feeder.

I had to use bailing wire on my cage door because they were pulling the top corner where you open the cage at and stretching their shoulders inside the and spinning away. Reinforcing that top corner of the door and 4 duke traps have temporarily solved my problem

I think the bigger issue is the leaning feeder. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Agreed, if that feeder tips over...that Coon will sue for injuries for certain!

Get you some pvc pipe and put it on them legs and make sure they are nice and clean and slick where they can't grip onto it.
No one had a gun in our hands and we just watched it go. One guy threw his beer can at it.. just in really good shape and also hopefully flip the switch a little faster on my wife.

Also replace that spinner plate with a "Eliminator" spinner plate if it's a 12 volt motor. It opens by cyntrifical force. Coons can't drop it and birds can't peck at it. Also can save you alot of money on drops corn. Cabelas has them.

Don't waste your money on PVC, Carpet Strips, Grease, Cages ...
Get eliminators and dukes...then KILL, ELIMINATE, and declare Genocide and tell him his Deer are laughing at him..
I'm gonna put the PVC leg pipe dream to bed..
I have a video where 4 of them handle that PVC legs like Barry the Kenyan fooled y'all on his Birth Certificate

Ugh......they dropped my eliminator down on one side from hanging on it. I apparently didn't have the screw tight enough. Emptied a full 50 gallon drum in a week. Just bought 10 more dukes to add to the 4 I have. Headed out Monday to deploy them all and will end this once and for all. Hoping to go at least 10 out of 14. Pics to follow, lol.

I have used the 4" PVC on my feeder legs, spinner & gravity, for the last three years with no problems from coons or squirrels. Each PVC is 5' long.

No doubt I'd straighten up that feeder, you will have a bent barrel if it falls. What Sniper said is the best way to deal quickly with those corn hounds. I bought a 12v motor with the eliminator plate from Txag on here ( http://www.weaverbilt.com/), I now have no cage and zero coons on TC (on the motor). The motor he has is so strong, I'd love to see it go off with a corn thief on it, it would be hilarious. Dukes traps are stupid simple and effective.

That first pic almost made me snort my juice out of my nose. You need a "caption this" contest for that one.
