Lots of good gloves to get to and from your spot but I have yet to find a good glove to hunt with. I normally have two pairs of UA liners and switch back and forth thoughout the morning. If you can find a good wool glove they are pretty good too.
Good luck, in my opinion gloves are a huge place for improvement in the waterfowl world.

They are expensive but work very well. Drake Waterfowl makes water proof gloves. Being in Texas I get the early season ones, they're plenty warm and you can wear them shooting. They will run about $60 a pair. I bought a pair three years ago and they still work great.

Sitka Gear Pantanal gloves.

Any thing with outdry. Outdry isn't a bootie type liner so there isn't a space between the waterproof liner and insulation... Aka it doesn't weigh a ton when outer fabric gets wet

Duke4456 wanted to chime in, but kept getting stuck in the fancy smancy recipe thread. Here is his post: I use the cheap neoprene fishing gloves from bass pro they have slits in the index finger and thumb so you can expose your trigger finger but I have never had trouble shooting with it covered. They are black not came but they only cost like $12 and they are very water proof and warm
I just turned it on . I was looking bird dogs in the butt this morning.

Like Judd said there are no good true waterproof gloves to where while hunting. Get some good liners and a lot of hand warmers. Otherwise some decoy gloves before and after the hunt.
Not sure why someone can't make a full silicone glove without the slits on the fingers those would be great.

I hunt just fine with my gloves, and they are 100% water proof.

Too many issues with gloves for me. Handwarmers in each pocket for me, bare hands only. If it is really cold I wear wool or fleece gloves with the fingers cut off.

Some people just don't like gloves period, other like wearing them. I wear mine like working gloves, some learn to work with working gloves, some can't stand working gloves. Guys that are used to working with working gloves, comes in handy when it is cold, those that don't like working gloves will complain about any glove on the market. Same with football players.

Biggest problem I have with waterfowl gloves is loading shells, thumb gets caught up and also putting them on when your hands are a little wet

I load shells just fine with gloves on. Hell I can even take a piss with my gloves on, if your looking for a little thing guess it could be difficult with gloves on, but in my case, finding big charlie is pretty easy.

I've heard it all now.... I use gloves when I work in the yard and stuff...I just haven't found a hunting glove that will keep my hands warm, be dry and not cumbersome.

I'm sure you do more than that to yourself with your gloves on but this is the wrong forum for that type of post.

I tried it...didn't work for me...they weren't as cold as if I didn't have gloves on but they weren't warm either.

I tried it...didn't work for me...they weren't as cold as if I didn't have gloves on but they weren't warm either. Of course if you sweat you will get cold and can even risk hypothermia even in non freezing conditions. I usually put my gloves on after putting deeks out after sitting and cooling down after wading around. I don't usually wear my jacket at first or leave it open only put the cold gear on when I am sitting and shooting otherwise I would sweat through anything getting ready. Especially after breakfast and coffee I can be exposed to the cold for about 45 minutes before I get bundled up. I do put my neoprene gloves back on for picking up decoys later if it is still chilly as by that point I get cold again usually get more wet picking them up than putting them out. I would rather just have something water proof and take it on and off. I have hunted with some nice wool gloves and fleece which can still keep warmth when wet but just my take.

I've started wearing half finger wool gloves with a mitten attachment like these. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CY9C...NY96SJNBFZ9N6NPThe gloves will get wet and hold some water but still feel pretty warm. I started wearing half-fingers fly fishing where it's not common for me to dunk them picking up a fish. Never any issues with cold.
