Wired up and mounted my light bar, it's only 20" but it's plenty bright. Easily shines 60-70 yards. Not too bad for a $33 amazon purchase. Still need to do a few other things to the boat before the 31st.

For $33 that's not bad at all. Got anymore pictures of your rig? What else are planning to do to it?
I just turned it on . I was looking bird dogs in the butt this morning.

How does the quality of it look? Those things range from $30 to $200 so it's hard to know what you are paying for....or not.

I have an expensive one on my truck, a 36" that was a couple hundred bucks. They're 100 percent identical.

The one on your truck will last longer. I got a cheap 24" on my boat also. For the price I can afford to replace every couple years it's gonna get salty anyway

I want to take off the clip on red/green/white lights and put real ones on with a toggle switch, along with a bilge pump and a rear deck to hide my battery, life jackets ect. I had my light bar hooked up to just alligator clips but I didn't like hat very much so today I ran wire to a toggle switch by the back seat so I can control it from there. I also want to find a small trailer for it because taking the motor off and taking everything out to load it in the truck sucks.

Man that's a nice setup! Super simple, just how I like it. What kind of motor is that?

The engine is a harbor Freight 6.5 hp on one of the kits you can order online, I got the kit from a friend with an older engine for 100 bucks and just swapped it for a brand new one. I have less than 1k in the whole set up as it is.

And it drafts in 4 inches with 2 people, it's also more stable than my 1448 Jon boat was.

Very cool. Been reading for awhile, but first post and this thread is up my alley. Erichugh22 - I have same set up as yours, been running it for a couple years. Mine has some pontoons on the sides that make it more stable, but rob it of quite a bit of speed. Will post a pic later on. And I modified old john boat trailer, makes the on and off loading a lot easier.

Yeah, don't listen to me. I'm just an idiot.
Lol. Duckbill that was funny! The dude up top has already taken lots of bone before this deer, both mule and whitetail.
