I get the same thing you do, 2 pictures I'd say 3 1/2, 3 pictures 4 1/2.
for every stereotype there's a prototype don't be the prototype

I would agree they are both middle aged, 3.5-4.5, maybe 5.5 but thats pushing it. Certainly not young, and not over mature.
Both would be viable shooters on my lease, if they fancy your interest.

all are pictures of 3.5 year old bucks, remember, there will be VERY FEW 4.5 year old bucks this year due to the 2011 drought AND we had a lot of rain in April/May, so the young bucks, especially 3.5 year olds will look pretty good (and tempting)
If you aren't positive it is 5.5+ there is a very good chance it is a young buck

I will agree with 3.5 yrs old on them. What I would like to see is better broadside and straight on standing pics. Nothing is mature though in that I can tell. You are in an area that has larger body size bucks when they get the rain for several years in a row.
Are idiots multiplying faster than normal people?

Niether were going to get shot either way this season just trying to get a grasp on whats at the ranch since this is only year 2 on the place with a garunteed 4 more to go. Would like to start feeding protein this year as soon as the season ends but need to check the budget as the time gets closer.

Owner is finishing the east half of the property high fence after deer season this year after season is over which will enclose the whole property. So trying real hard to get a good group of resident bucks in the 3.5 to 4.5 range area that can carry the property for a few years and spread their genes.
