If I send my neighbors a text and ask them to give me feedback on my lawn and plant rye into a giant dong pattern, I'm probably going to get some less than positive feedback. Same goes here.

Shooting him will be doing him a favor Hunted at a deer breeders place in carrizo springs once, after his breeder bucks shed their velvet they would dart them and saw he horns off, explained the reason was two-fold but mainly insurance against poachers from killing the breeder bucks and taking the horns.

The smaller buck is hanging out with him because he knows he probably won't even get shot at. Awesome deer.

Weak brows, I'd pass.
Regards, That Guy
Guess I couldn't help myself. Holy moly that is an impressive buck!!! Pretty sure I have never seen a bigger, cleaner deer than that. Those brows would look 'normal' if everything else wasn't so monstrous. I think I'd try to find him pre-rut to keep him from breaking up that rack.

Im geussing 220 in . 30 in inside 30 in beams already pushing 90. Then 90 inches of tine. 180 plus 40 mass that might be undershooting. 220 gross I know i know the velvet making them look bigger diam. But i think they are that big.

I don't know the blood line because he was pasture breed and born. He is in a high fence but not a pen deer. He is on my dads place and he says he will not let anyone shoot him and let him breed and die of age or natural causes. I am sure if some ridiculous number was thrown out there he would change his mind but I don't know for sure. Just know what he told me.

Just the sheds alone would be worth some serious coin to the right person! BTW, I've got dibs on the sheds in case you just want to give them away!

Savoy, aren't you the one that posted the huge 8pt last year?
Fantastic animals on your dads place (as if you didn't know it).

Yea that was my mom that shot that clean 8. Think it was 187. Same ranch. There is some incredible deer on that place. Not very many get shot mostly culls but he does sell a couple of hunts every year. It will be a while but I will post the actual measurements after the season if we find both sheds. Powers I don't think he will go 30" inside spread but I gave him 96" of tine and got right around the 220 mark too. I could be wrong but I think he is about 24-25" inside and I got just at 40" of mass. Bases are about 6" they just look a little smaller because the rest is so big. Brows prob 4 and the other is 5-6" the way it goes back

Hats off to y'all for planning to let him live. Not very many hunters on the planet with that kinda will power.
What's the buck/doe ratios there? I'm just wondering how many doe he can cover with field breeding in the next few years. Any suspected off spring popping up yet?
