I am looking at booking a hunt on a private ranch in New Mexico, Unit 17. Has anyone had any experiences with this Unit? I have been told there are some monsters in this unit but would like some firsthand feedback if anyone has anything to share..

Is 17 near the Gila? I am hunting unit 16 which is the Gila as well as 15 and they shoot mostly 160-180" deer with the chance at a 200", I assume 17 is not far from there so there should be some good deer.

I am not sure if it's near the Gila or not. I do know it's part of the Cibola National Forest.
