I've put a couple of Timney's on and they both required removal of some stock. (Why Timney makes replacement triggers that have larger outlines than the OEM ones they're replacing is a wonder to me.)
So, I'm considering Basix for my future triggers. For guys who have used both, what do you think of the relative quality of them?

I have used both on savage. Equally pleased with either.

Equally pleased with both in a Rem700, but like the feel and break of the Basix just a little bit more

I had 1 Timney trigger and decided to try a Basix for my Savage. That thing was such a headache to install and I could not get it anywhere near 2 lbs without slam firing. I even called them up, they were really nice but the only way the trigger wouldn't slam fire was if it was set at 4 lbs.
They offered to give me a brand new trigger but after 3 hours of work I was done with it and asked for my money back. They were great to deal with and maybe I just got a lemon but a trigger is not something I want any questions with.
I bought a Timney, installed it in 10 minutes, and set it to 2 lbs with zero problems or slam fires. I am a loyal Timney customer from here on out.

Basix does offer two different ranges of trigger pulls. One is 1.5 - 4.0 pounds with a factory setting of 2.0 pounds. The second is .75 - 1.5 pounds with a 1.0 pound factory setting. If I was after a 1.5 pound pull, I know I'd feel more confident of getting it with the .75 - 1.5 pound trigger.

I've installed both as well. The Timmey in a Rem 600 and it took a quite a bit of stock work to get it to fit. A Basix in a Savage 11O which took only a few minutes.
