Found quite a few interesting posts about this after searching the Web. Most found it to work well, given the right setup.
Anyone tried it?

If it has a stop to show how heavy it got. I don't see why it wouldn't work

Only problem I see is most fish scales do not weigh accurately down below a couple of pounds. I bought a Lyman digital trigger pull gauge and am very pleased with it...

Since I don't fish and don't care to I bought the proper instrument for the princely sum of about $20....it's a Lyman.
Pass the gravy.

GG,I haven't seen any Lyman units for under $55. Are you using a current model?
Precision_Shooter, I've heard the Lyman unit is very sensitive and hard to use. Do you feel the criticism is accurate?

The Lyman unit is the right tool for the job. It's easy to use, accurate, and will do an average over ten trigger pulls. That's how I tune my triggers.

That's all I've used for many years. Just make sure you are applying pressure straight back, increase pressure slowly, and watch for the max reading.

It is not overly sensitive when you have pressure on it. If you have it waiving in the air, it will show odd readings, just remember to zero it right before you measure trigger pull weight. It's great and has allowed me to tune my adjustable triggers to where I like them without having to shoot them after each adjustment.

I just have the Department of Agriculture Weights and Measures certify my index fingers on both hands each year. I keep the certificate in my truck.

^^^ You know how I feel about high $$$ scales.. My trigger scale consists of a piece of high tensile wire formed into a bail and hooked to a tuna can into which I drop weights, then measure the weights on my postage scale.

I have the manual one. It's not digital. It was cheap but I had to search to get my price. Current? I seriously doubt it. Accurate? I don't know but it's fine for me since I use the same one for all measurements.
Pass the gravy.
