I shot the only drop tine buck I ever saw... He was about 3.5.. normally I would not shoot unless 4.5yrs or better.... but I passed on a typical 10pt with double split brows because he was 3.5 yrs of age... well some one else didnt pass.. then I thought to myself.. how many 12 pointers do i have on the wall... thats what made it easier with the younger drop tine buck. my 2 cents

I would have shot him, I am old enough that I may not be here next year.

From the photo that buck appears mature. A single drop is rare? A double drop even rarer. A triple drop? Come on. If you know antlers, they do not always come back the same every year. If he was mature with 3 drops, no guarantee those 3 drops come back next year. No question I'd shoot and have a tremendous trophy no matter the B&C score. Congrats to the hunter. That is a buck of a lifetime in my book.

I probably would have to say Yes, he looks like a mature deer and he might not get any better, plus I have not ever shot any drop tine.

Not the biggest buck but he's got 3 drop tines. Shoot or walk? Flip I would shoot him in a heartbeat. I know im fittin to pi$$ some people off. You paid to hunt. You paid for your gun. You paid for your ammo. You paid for that deer and I'm very happy for you. Do you have any updated photos. By the way congratulations on a great buck!!!!

He was fully mature and ready to kill. Does not matter what any one else thinks. My lease, my tag and my choice.

It's hard to let a deer like that walk when you know that anyone else that sees him is gonna kill him.

I would shoot that buck in a heartbeat and not think twice of it. A single drop tine is rare, a triple drop tine is a buck of a life time regardless of score. He looks to be mature, but I'd probably shoot that buck even if he was a little too young because there's no guarantee that he'll have a drop (much less 3) again.
