2 of these available where both hunters can hunt at the same time or separate dates. Hunt will take place in Southern Brewster county near Big Bend National park just outside Terlingua Texas on several smaller ranches allowing one to rotate areas if a certain ranch is not producing. This is not a trophy hunt- a good mature buck will be in the 130" maybe 140"ish range although with the good rains this year and being near the national park some larger bucks are taken from time to time. This is a high desert hills and mountains hunt so be ready to do some hiking and be able to shoot longer distances. Cost: $2,200.00 Per Hunter for a 4 Day Guided Hunt No Lodging or Meals provided just the guide and the hunt. Camp out onsite or there are some cabins nearby available to rent. Rifle only hunt. 1 Mule Deer Buck, 1 Javelina if opportunity given, and Predators per Hunter Only 2 Hunts available and that's it www.westtexashuntorg.com915-328-0645 Mike

If I hadn't committed to a fairly expensive lease this year, I'd be on this like a duck on a June bug.
Great deal.

What is the success rate? Thanks The particular properties this hunt will take place on were not mule deer hunted last year just aoudad hunted and before that not deer hunted for some time so I would be lying to you about the success rate on this particular ranch. I have multiple properties in this area where I season lease and do guided hunts on and the success rate really depends on the experience of the hunter. A guided hunt in this area will average about 70% to 80% success in this particular area and this year we have had some better rains and will be watering/feeding nearly year round.

Out of curiosity, what do you consider a "longer distance" shot on a mule deer?

If you can be comfortable at 300 yards we should be able to get it done. Some of my other hunts do require 400+ yard shots but this one is not as extreme.

Book this hunt (one or both spots)by July 8th and I will discount the hunt cost down to $1950.00 per spot or take both spots and go 2x1 guided for $3700.00 Total
