Don't know if it's because of the cattle in the pasture behind my house but have a terrible fly problem. What do you guys put on a dog to protect them?

You can try Fly predators, or Bronco Equine Fly spray.
Shopping with your husband is like hunting with the game warden. Experience is what you get, when you didn't get what you wanted.

Try a mosquito spray like Off. Everyone should have some of that on hand with the recent rains.

Your not suppose to use deet on dogs. Its toxic if ingested, and most dogs will try and lick it off.

Certain breeds can't have it.

I spray Cutter yard spray once a week. Helps with mosquito's, flies and fleas. A $9 bottle will last me two weeks (2 applications), it works so to me it's worth it. I think the bottle says it keeps mosquitos and flies away for 14 days, it don't. I also use fans at each kennel to keep them off the dogs (and to cool them obviously).
Haven't had it in years but never spit any out. I am a sucker for happy endings and strapped cowboys.

You can try Fly predators, or Bronco Equine Fly spray. Tried the Bronco Equine fly spray and seems to work very well. Also bought a hanging trap with that sticky crap like mouse traps and it caught a total of 4 flies today, won't be buying any more. Thanks again..
