This site has become real interesting to watch with the weather that we have been having lately. I would post the image but it changes too often Water Data For Texas http://www.waterdatafortexas.org/reservoirs/statewide

What's so interesting about it? Texas lakes/water supply have gone from 65% full to 80% with all this rain. What else am I missing?
Sure would be nice to see some of the west Texas lakes fill up, Tawakoni is the last east Texas lake to fill up, got a half foot to go.

Anytime you add 8 million acre feet of water in one month is pretty impressive. 2.6 trillion gallons of water and it's only going to go up as this weekends flows move downstream into Travis on the colorado and choke canyon on the frio.

Yeah all the flooding down there and lake Travis is still 32 foot low, choke 24 foot low.

...and 90,000 acres of Texoma is over the Spillway by 2 feet, after a rise of 27' in less than 45 days...and another 2 FEET of water fixin to be added today from the 2"-4" rain that is within hearing distance right now...Just Sayin the road in front of the house is going underwater this afternoon, with the vehicles already moved to high ground. I like that one too. The one that I linked calculates the Height Above Conservation Pool
Not that I can't do the math

We just passed 25M... We been above that going back to early 90s when we did not have as much capacity. I like this chart.... Would be nice if all the lakes over capacity good simply pump to other lakes under capacity, maybe more investment needs to be made here, vs building more lakes??

Bridgeport and Graham are full. Hard to imagine them filling so fast.

This has been crazy. I was involved with some evacuations still just yesterday. And a tornado hit my property in the last week. All ok, got tin back on my workshop, my fence back up. My big pear tree is gone though. Like it was looking for me. Went over my house, then ended it's path a couple hundred yards from my firehouse. I like using the NOAA site to keep up with the water levels. Even Guy might find that one interesting. http://www.srh.noaa.gov/fwd/Includes river gauges, but you can click on the lake gauges as well. http://water.weather.gov/ahps2/index.php?wfo=fwdExample, Ray Roberts. Looks like it may be coming back down and just missed the record and missed going over the emergency spillway. http://water.weather.gov/ahps2/hydrograph.php?wfo=fwd&gage=rrlt2Other useful or "interesting" links back on the main page.

What water levels have done YTD is really meaningless, other than lakes filling up, what they do over offseason is key...

And watch them drop
Better go turn off the sprinklers and quit filling the pool

lakes look good, but lots of duckponds lost 70% already of its may water, and going, at a rate of 1 inch per day, but, wait, September is the second wettest month of the year, so we should all be good...

I learned a long time ago to keep notes of lake levels with my hunting log and never scout too early. Saves a ton of time, at any given lake level I have a good idea where to start.
