Looking at a Merkel 303 O/U 12 gauge. What is a good price? Very detailed engraving. Beautiful wood stock. Thoughts?

I doubt anyone on here has the knowledge to properly price that gun. I did a quick check here Guns International it seems they start at about $8500 and quickly go up.

Owning a high quality firearm and knowing the current value, in a thinly traded market, are two different things. With Merkels, when it was made, engraving pattern, and dimensions of the stock count a lot. I have a friend in the business and he'll tell you he can't say much without having it in his hands.
