I'd pay no more than $200 for an IR. I paid $80 for a T20 and $45 for a T50. Both do a great job and are adjustable though the T50 is a bit long.

they are far better than the factory IR, they work as good as the high end ones at a fraction of the cost, been very satisfied.

If we lock the contrast at a certain parameter and make the image brighter, would you guys be OK with the washed out image?

Take a look at this video for example, exactly at 0:21 minute, the grass is completely washed out.

Absolutely.....forget the contrast and let me deal with it with an adjustable IR.

me to brighter image every time. your ir will adjust the wash out. when i first bought my x sight i could get out over 340yds with my t74 ir as my vids on you tube show. i also did some ratting on fishing pond again with my t74 ir at as little as 15 yards . there was very little wash out. as all i did was flood the ir. pleas give us it back

My T38 is almost as good as my UNV20IR and 75% cheaper.

sorry guys, as much as everyone would like to have the ability to control the contrast setting, it is not possible. There are variable features associated with the contrast setting and would require a lot of work. The team is looking into the NV mode optimization and I will keep you guys posted.

I know you are here for nothing but thread crapping so please stay out. You specifically are not welcomed on this discussion.

But Chip Fong told me a TICO is the best?

No it was VIC from TNVC, so and $hit somewhere else. You future post will be ignored and you have been reported to moderators.

Uh...pretty much this? Read the thread, pal.

Oh so somebody else posts pointless information and you are like the exclamation point on said valueless posts?!?!?!

You have to understand that most respondents here are new to the sight/website and have no interest in a continued drama from previous threads , those who merely read these threads for information and don't post also probably can care less, the remainder of us who frequent the board are annoyed by your tired act.

There are no insults left in the Xsight game, it's now time to move on and either stay away from the sight or buy it for what it is (a first year model product).

Add on IR.

PLEASE

S6275,

Grow up...be a man and put your money where you mouth is. Sell your xsight and buy something else. You ran your mouth already about doing this so just do it. Your input adds no value at
I no longer own the xsight and this issue was one of the reasons I abandoned it.

Sachal I think your on the right track getting this worked out.

Sachal gets a pass? Is that so you guys keep receiving your free demo units?

Unbelieveable.

I don't want the thing. Sachal offered to "take care of me" as refunds go, then vanished when I got serious. No one wants it for what I paid...and why should they? There are plenty to be had for $100-$200 less from sellers who have decided enough is enough, and are willing to take a bath. I'm not.

Enjoy your free demos. And your $400 vaporware Chinese IR. There...back on topic.

Wrong again, I offered to buy it.
As stated in my last post all you want to do is fight.

I haven't gotten anything free and doubt seriously anyone else has.

Having read the thread seems to me we all want the same thing drop auto dimming and let us deal with the brightness using our own ir torches. Would help if they brought back 720p. Off topic splatty on nightvisionforumuk is selling an adjustable base which I thought might work for some of you if adapted to sort out the eay off zero on our x-sights. Just an idea might not work but better than bits of coke can.

I believe the auto dimming was added to compensate for the daytime washout a lot of us were seeing when the sun was in front of point of aim. I know mine was unusable in two of my stands in these conditions. Unfortunately, as is often the case they compromised the NV to help daytime use. But hey, the day/night marketing hype is great for sales.

The list of why did they or why didn't they is long on the xsight and I sure don't have the answers, and based on the number of updates since January, they still don't have the answers either.

I thought they gave all you guys over there free sunshades? So why the need to autodim. Pointing any scope into the sun without a shade or filter is going to give issues just the way it is. They need to go back to basics and fix one thing at a time preferably those things that make it work as a scope, ie decnt daytime, it had that, and decnt nv, it had that then they screwed it up. If those two things aren't working then the rest of the periferal things such as sound, etc are pointless cos it won't be going anywhere near my guns. I use my guns to shoot not play karaoke roflmao
