Picked one up yesterday and so far I like it. Any issues to to aware of? Or necessary upgrades? I am thinking night sights or atleast better visibility sights. Has a tactical light on it now but pretty sure it's gonna come off.

I haven't done anything to mine and I love it. I have the subcompact 9mm.
I just turned it on . I was looking bird dogs in the butt this morning.

I have the full size 4.5 .40 S&W as well, mine is the two-tone O.D/black. Love mine, I've put LOTS of factory and my hand loaded ammo through it. Have done no mods and it's been 100% since day 1 (around 4 years ago). Love it, I just shoot my 4.5 .45 ACP more.

So far it feels right in my hand which is a huge plus. I'm normally a 1911 guy but for the deer lease a plastic gun is much better suited.

Check out Springer Precision, Scott is a great guy and a great Springfield XDM/S smith. I had him put sights on mine, a trigger job and a beautiful coating job. Gun is scary accurate. I use a Crimson Trace rail Pro , Green Laser, really fun to shoot and did I mention accurate?? Mines a 9mm.

Trigger. Look at the afore mentioned Springer Precision or Powder River.
