6XC can be used if you reduce the loads. 6XC will have slightly more capacity.

What is a 6mm-250?

Its seems to have ballistics very similar to a 243.

Is it a 250 savage necked down or 22-250 necked up? Or something different.

I would probably roll with 243 win loads and work from there.

That would be dangerous, rc. The .243 case is bigger than the .22-250 case, even when the latter is necked up to 6mm. I guessing here, but even a .243 starting load might be too hot for the 6mm-250.
