I got the Bobcat mount up finally. The taxidermist did a crappy job on the mount so I have another pelt at the tannery and will redo once it is in but this will do for now. I made the log base so it looks like it runs through the wall that was on a 45 degree angle.

Not to bad imo... most bobcat mounts turn out much worse What you don't see is no hair on the back of the ears, torn pelt in the back of the hip with staples holding it together, the sew job on the back that sticks up about a 1/4", nose is better after a friend re-painted it, bald spot on the back side of the neck, stinks like chemicals, etc., etc..

Really like your log mount. Let us know who did it so we can make sure they don't do it again to one of us.

Well...the cat does look dead which is not a good thing for a mount. Hope you get a better mount the second time around. Who is doing the second or re-mount?

Thanks guys. You may remember the pictures of it a few months ago when I posted up how bad it was. I mentioned where the guy worked which had nothing to do with it so I had the post deleted and had a gentleman's agreement with the owner that I would not mention it again because he helped me out in making it right (deposit back and another pelt to do it over). Well...the cat does look dead which is not a good thing for a mount. Hope you get a better mount the second time around. Who is doing the second or re-mount? When the pelt gets back from the tannery, I will let God's Creation Taxidermy near Granbury do it over.

If he stepped up, You handled that well..Hat Tip and I respect that. I had a Fox done a few years ago and the guy who did it had done a few deer and euros and never had a problem. He did the Fox and and when I went to pick it up I just stared at it...He said are you Happy, I simply stated are you...We walked to the truck he could tell and he asked a 2nd time..are you Happy, I replied with..Are You. Not ONE time, did he make any offers or negotiations.. So **** him he will never see another Dollar and it worked out for the best I found a Wonderful talented Gentleman. I feel its an under appreciated line of work and I admire the talent and time put into the art and I truly do use the word art..I will always pay, I will NEVER call and push and the occasional update makes me Happy. I enjoy Honoring the Kill and having Mounts and even the ones that are not Monsters but I want to remember the Hunt and Experience and a good Taxi is a awesome part of that. If you have a good one Thank Him and be appreciative. Good Luck on your Cat Sir
