Every year I try to challenge myself in the sport of Waterfowling, having achieved most of my goals in the past, it has become increasingly difficult to find a duck hunting related task that actually pushes me to the limits.
Last year I swore to only shoot bootlips, ringers, and coots, since I was ineligible to participate in the Bootlip bonanza, I had a banner year on the bootlips. 2006-7, I only hunted Muscovy ducks, I had a good year, but paid dearly in fines to many local municipalities for various city ordinances that were violated. This year I took a solemn vow to get a limit of Pekin ducks without going to jail! I can finally say the goal has been attained after many weeks of modifying my approach and equipment.

First thing was to modify my decoys.



Next involved a little scouting and making sure I had a good escape route from any local authorities. They were easy to bring in, sometimes you could even take an empty bag and act like you were throwing out some crumbs. Yes it was a decieving way to hunt, but they fell for it time and again!

Well, Not only are they tough to hunt, they are tough to eat, must be some ancient chinese secret on cooking those things!!! The neck and gizzard were'nt too bad, the dog wouldn't eat any though!
