No kidding? Geez, that seems a bit early. I had a 4 point buck in the side yard this morning. Still had the antlers. Maybe global warming has begun to affect more than just Democrats.

Yep I saw a herd of 8-10 antler less deer and I saw the fawn right away. It may have been born last night, cause when the others blew out of there, his mother just went behind some trees and stayed put. I tried to get a pic before they ran, but couldn't.

I've heard that by the time you first see a fawn it's already two weeks old. I usually see my first fawns around Memorial Day.

You sure it wasn't an Axis? Around 70% of axis fawns were born in Jan, Feb and March on a ranch I managed. Most in the cold and ice it always seemed. Earliest I have seen a whitetail fawn was in early April.

Generally, around here at least, they drop end of May or first couple of weeks in June. Did you see the mother? Otherwise I'd say it's an axis.
