We hunted the WLR ranch. Best hunt we did. All animals are free range. Over 5000 acres.

Sounds and looks like a fantastic place.
I think what the OP was implying was that the animals were free to range on 5000 acres. Which i have to agree is plenty of range to roam.

I believe that WLR is a single pasture operation with naturally reproducing herds. It's a different type of operation from the, breeding facility, pasture release and put and take operations. I consider it and similar operations the next best thing to free range.
for every stereotype there's a prototype don't be the prototype

I believe that WLR is a single pasture operation with naturally reproducing herds. It's a different type of operation from the, breeding facility, pasture release and put and take operations. I consider it and similar operations the next best thing to free range. Not quite single-pasture, but close (I know they have a separate 1,100 acre pasture for their Eland). I have been there and it is truly the only place where I felt like I was on another continent. The animals are VERY elusive, and will make you work for your hunt.
