I was looking into dove hunting on public land in the gulf coast region, and I noticed that the Hebert and Repka Road public lands offer dove hunting. On the information page for both places, the regulations say that doves can be hunted each day of the first split of the season (Central Zone). Just to confirm that I'm reading this right, does that mean I cannot hunt there during the late season that runs from December 19-January 7? If so, does anyone know of other public lands I could dove hunt during the late season? Thanks!

Game warden would be your best bet, call him and he should tell you if you can hunt it or not. As far as other public places look through your aph booklet you get with your public land permit.

Most of the WMAs are open the first split only. A couple of the larger WMAs also allow dove hunting in the second split, but there aren't many of them.
