Will be in Central TX in January to hunt with my grandson for whitetail at a friends ranch. I am looking for a reasonable Addax or Nilgai while I'm in the area. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks

Nilgai will be a lot more "reasonable", prices are up for addax. Good luck!

Nilgai. Nilgai cows are quite cheap and will provide with you a lot of tasty meat.
Addax are crazy price wise, you're lucky to find one under 6k these days.

Although both are good choices, I think the Nilgai is the more economical While you can still get addax for 3500, most ranches are pricing to reflect the new replacement costs. WRS' December special has oryx bulls at 4500 and unless I missed it, they aren't running a special on addax. My advice is kill one now if you can find a good one for 3500. That's a legit bargain.
