Anyone know much about Winchester 33 ammo. I've got about 38 rounds from Midway arms, 200 grain. Came from my step fathers estate, I've had it for about 20 years. The brass is stamped 45 70 and the research I've read states this isn't made anymore. The value I'm seeing seems to be about $75 per box. Just looking for info, might want to sell or trade for something but for now just looking for info, thanks

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting.......holy kaka.....What a Ride!

Pretty sure the 33 WCF ammo you see fetching $75 or more a box is correctly headstamped and going to collectors.
With a set of dies and some .45-70 brass you can load your own ammo for well under a buck a round. Pour your own lead and find a keg of trail boss and really mild recoiling cowboy action loads can be had for about half that cost.

Thanks for the info, got to thinking I don't need this, I'll offer up for sale or trade. Heck I'll probably never have a gun that will use this stuff. Maybe someone with a gun will want it. Thanks again
