Got a hog friday 12am could not see the moon, its was heavy heavy overcast night. Like hunting in a thick cloud, eyesight 10ft, night vision gen3 pvs14 20-40yds, with thermal scope or handheld critters visible out to 200yds but no background just image of critters heat signature floating. Without a horizon, treeline, or ground the critter was just on the screen no way to judge distance. This hog was shot @ 120 meters I like hunting no moon so the critters have a hard time seeing anything. But everything around my area was soaked by rain last few weeks, so as the roads are drying up some and are driveable I am heading out.

Nice pic They look excited! Without the thermal and NV it is much much harder to sneak up on the critters. Back in my bow hunting days that's the way it was done. The full moon was my friend Now with NV and thermal it's the critters friend

Dang full moon kept me up. It was like someone left the lights on all night, very clear. I might as well have just gone hunting. I could see animals just fine when I looked out the window.

We had a typical night of hunting on a full moon. Seen a couple single Boars out in the open. The other guys I hunt with shot those two. We found a small group of 10-15 pigs hiding out on the edge of a tree line on a river bottom. They wouldn't leave the shadows of the trees created by the moon and come out into the open. So, after watching them for a bit I shot the biggest one of the group from about 150 yards or so. Dropped with a behind the ear shot. Didn't get a weight on him. He had nice cutters so I cut his head off. On full moon night we normally just find big solitary boars or sows in the open.
Retired U. S. Army, which means I still have to work to make a living.
