Heading southbound on 2499 this am, nice, heavy buck hit and laying on side of the road, just after the turnoff to Rock Ledge park and before the Gerault flyover. Buddy saw him crossing the road 15 minutes before that, coming from the private pond south of Home Depot.

Bummer--but still exciting to see a decent buck in the area. I've always heard people talk about them, but I've only seen does.

I hate to see good bucks ran over, wasn't it around grapevine lake that a fire truck hit one last year?

A buddy of mine saw a nice buck get hit. He pulled over and called the GW who came out to meet him. Helped him drag it off into the woods and ended up letting him keep the horns.

You are correct. None. Just a bunch of urban myths.

Post a pic if you can. I'd like to see if it's one of the five bucks we've been watching out there the last few weeks.
