Having your family member go deer hunting with you...enjoyable. Watching your family member accidentally hit a 10-point in the top of the hindquarters with an arrow...painful! Realizing the arrow just happened to slice the exact junction of the femoral and aortic arteries and the deer went less than 50 yards before piling up due to massive internal blood loss...priceless (and REALLY lucky!).
AF(Retired)/DV; busted mine to save yours then...bustin' Bambi to save the American hunting dream now!

Lucky shot and nice buck!!! Very true. I accidentally did this once eleven years ago. I was hunting my grandmother's front yard (Kentucky - out in the country) where they had two bucks coming in every night. They came in, one had already dropped his antlers, so I shot the other one. I was sitting between a trailer and a shed and my arrow deflected off the corner of the trailer and hit the buck in the same exact place, with the same exact result. 50 yards, DRT.

Yes on purpose standman. He said it was his only available shot because of heavy cover where they were.

It happens. Congrats on getting a very nice buck. But when they die that quickly, that is where I was aiming. Watched a first time hunter, aim for the heart lungs. He had buck fever so bad he hit the buck in the neck just behind the ear. When we walked up on the der he said- "that is not where I was aiming". I looked him and said (shaking my head up and down)- "yes it is" if you tell your buddies that is where you aimed.
Are idiots multiplying faster than normal people?
