Was enjoying the afternoon. Grandson was off in the hayfield blind and had deer all over him. I had deer moving past me, but no big bucks. Then, all of a sudden a big doe shoots across in front of me. She stopped, spun around and is staring at the woods from where I guess she just ran. She is some nervous. Gotta be the big buck. Before too long a big.....male coyote strides out of the woods and heads slowly for the doe, who isn't backing off at all. I put the crosshairs on him and took him out. Big doe never moved. Still staring at the now-dead coyote. Then she slowly moved over to a patch of weeds, and out steps her fawn. I guess she had parked it there and was going to face off with the coyote.
And over in front of the grandson two young bucks were knocking antlers.
Just a dang nice day in the woods. And one more coyote down. That's three in the last two days.
Not my monkeys, not my circus...

Does my heart good to read your post. Congratulations on a good kill. I'll take a shot on a coyote anytime I get one.

good! My brother's lease is covered in coyotes. Stupid high numbers. I'll go sit in a different stand just to reduce coyote numbers for them.

Sounds like this would make a good commercial for a pro-hunting politician.

Well done! I never let coyotes walk either. The suppressor has really helped in "getting away with things".
