Anyone had any luck there this year?
I hit it two weeks ago and I got nothing then I went to Navarro Mills and nothing there either.
Is there any public places I can go before the season is over?
Thanks in advance
Skylar

Well those are two public places. You've got to scout out where the birds are and not post it on a public forum or everyone will be there on Saturday.

Well, if your not, Take your pick. But expect every lake I just posted, at least the ones that actually allow duck hunting, to be extremely crowded Saturday because of this thread. "nuts"

If the water is low at Aquilla it will not hold many birds because there is not any cover when the water is down. Navarro Mills is hit or miss. Your only other public land option that is somewhat close is the Richland Creek Type Two Land on the other side of Corsicana off of 287. It is a dogfight getting in there and getting spots because it is so crowded. So you might want to call them and get more information because you can only hunt it certain days.

Seth runs a party barge out there on Aquilla serving lots of Tequela. Might check with him I think he will take you to spots and pick you up. Not sure but I think he has a deckhand that cleans your ducks also while you enjoy a nice refreshing beverage.

If you wear your Democratic Convention lapel pin, he will take you for free.

Navaro Mills is probably not holding many birds. I have a lease close to the lake and we have not heard very many shots coming from that direction this season. Try saving your time and get on a good lease. It's worth the $$.

Live to hunt, hunt to live.
