Any one have any rut info for the area? Saw some bucks with noses up but no one chasing.

Usually it will be the weekend after thanksgiving till mid December. Sometimes earlier or later bur in that parameter unless it stays to warm.

Basspromaster, thank you. That goes with one of the two stories ive heard. Ive heard thats its around end oct to beginning of November, then like you said around Thanksgiving. Im confused. Do you live or hunt the area?

Our lease is south of Johnson City near the 290/281 intersection. Last weekend we saw a couple of bucks that looked like they were chasing the does or at least getting warmed up.
Adult late onset hunter. Why did I wait so long to get started?

I hunted just south of there off 281 and 46 and our rut always was around Thanksgiving. I also hunted further north in Mills CO and our rut begins that time too. U should see chasing start mid November but to me that's more or less bucks checking full rut will be thanksgiving through 2nd week of December.
