Good gracious why are these things so expensive? I recently got my hands on an old Sweeney feeder that we had let a friend borrow years and years ago and it came back with no timer or legs. So what do yall use?

We build the feeders ourselves with 55 gallon drum and angle iron. Super solid. As for the timers, been using Moultrie Pro Hunter ($39.99 at academy). Probably had to replace 2 of about 8 timers over the last 4 years.

Probably had to replace 2 of about 8 timers over the last 4 years. X2. We build our own as well with 55 gallon drums, angle iron, & 2" conduit for legs. I also have been using all Moultrie Pro Hunter spinners from Academy for I can't remember how many years now. I also am running 8 feeders and the only issue I've ever had with them were the old controllers they used to come with. Had several go whacko on me so replaced them with the universal controller also from Academy and no more issues. Now all of them come with the newer model controllers so that's good.

This ^^^^^^ and you will thank us both 10 years from now when your feeder is still working.

Just contact All Seasons and order on of their 12V or 6V timers with the solar panel. I have one running seven years now on the same battery and it has NEVER failed to feed.

Moultrie Pro Hunter has been our go to for a long time. Very easy to adjust time and feed setting with their big lettering. Even for this old fart.

Triple C or The Timer are ones I've had and seen good longevity as well as dependability out of.
