That he will show up when gun season starts. He is in a regular bachelor group morning and evening almost daily, but as the group breaks up, will he still make trips to the area? He sea to hang out with the dominant buck a lot, I rarely if ever see them apart right now, and the dominant buck right now is target #1 for daughter.
So, let's assume the above is true, if my daughter shoots the dominant buck youth weekend, will this buck assume the role?
Also, what are the chances the buck in question is really the dominant buck and is allowing his traveling partner to act the part while the hormones are in check (have you seen that happen before) as they appear about the same age although the other is slightly bigger bodied.

Next year I will have to set up tripod at this feeder for archery season!

Depends on where the doe heard is I see alot of bucks start breaking up in the middle of bow season, and never seen again till the summer starts and grouping back up.

If your daughter kills the dominant buck then someone will have to take his place. Great looking buck up

The odds are very high that your over thinking this. Lol. I would say slim for your daughter to get the buck you want for her and you get the one you want for your self looking at the one you posted and reading about the other. So if it works out for you, you have beat the odds! Good luck to both of you. up

yep, good luck to both of you (but I agree odds will be pretty slim that you both get those respective bucks in back to back weekends).

I have seen bucks around the same age run together and stay in the same area through the season, even during the rut. I assume that one learns his place and isn't a threat to the dominant one....odds are against you though grin

Good luck up

If he's like the buck I'm chasing, 5%.
