Alright so he's not a monster but thats never really been what it's about for me. It's about the hunt, the experience, the memories and the backstrap. I've been hunting everyday, morning and evening for the last 3 days and this is the only buck I've seen, minus a few fork horns. It couldn't have come together any better this morning. The cool air make it perfect to be sitting in my tree stand and as a the fog lifted and this buck walked out of a cedar thicket 40 yards to my right, I got that rush of adrenaline that makes your knees shake a little bit and your heart beat a little harder in your chest. He came under my stand quartering hard towards me at 20 yards and then fed his way out to 36 yards where he finally turned quartering away and I let the arrow fly. My gold tip arrow, tips with a 3 blade fixed broad head ripped through both lungs and he piled up in a pool of blood in under 40 yards. I know he's just a little 8 point but I couldn't be happier with my first kill of the season! Tonight I will feast on back strap and tender loin.

Good job Taylor! You said it was going to be hard to get loose and hunt...looks like you got a chance. Now get back to work and flesh that stag hide! grin I got head skinned out and have to keep working on it.

Ain't nothing wrong with that. With all the pics of monster bucks and management threads, it's refreshing to see a picture of a deer and an excited hunter cheers

Congrats on a great hunt and your Monster 8!!!

Lying is lying. Don't bitch about one doing it and condone another. That's called hypocrisy.
