My grandfather passed a few years ago. My grandmother has given me a few of his things. She just gave me his .22. It's a Remington Fieldmaster Model 572. It has grooves on the top of the receiver. What's a good scope for this rifle? I'm proud to have anything of his. He was a very good man. The rifle has no real monetary value, but it has a lot of sentimental value to me. Got this online, it's not a picture of my rifle.

However, my dad and my brothers never had an accuracy issue utilizing a scope. I love the irons on mine, so I don't use a scope. Very accurate rifle. Yours looks amazing.

Regardless of so called "value", it's a nice rifle in it's own right. The family association makes it even better.

My dad has the exact same 22. We always shot it open sights. It's a great little pump 22. I wouldn't put a scope on that, but that's just me.

I've never used a scope. Guess I don't need to start now.

You are a blessed and lucky Duck. Beautiful.
I got my granddads Ted Williams (SEARS) Winchester 190 22 semi auto. I replaced the springs in it, washed out the FCG and shoots like a dream with the original Weaver 4x RF scope.
