Anyone have one of these 1911's? If so, how do you like them?

Maybe the best bang for the buck on the market right now. I was very impressed with the gun. Great trigger for a $700 gun. Very accurate. And its pretty. As far the grips if you are buying new you may want to look at a few of them. They range from an orangish color all the way to a darker brown.
IF it doesn't need to be a good looking gun the Rock Island Tactical I just picked up used has suprised me. So far it has been very accurate and reliable as well as being very comfortable to shoot. I would say as much a pleasure to shoot as the SR for a little less money and whole lot of ugly.

Have the Commander model and it is flawless. Absolutely reliable, accurate and for the price it is hard to beat.

I've owned an SR1911 for a couple years and after 1K plus down range, have never had an issue. My accuracy is very good and it outshoots most anything except high dollar comp 1911's in my opinion.
Well built with great fit and finish. Easy to operate and break down/reassemble.

I have owned a full frame 5" for a while and love it. Only modification I will make is to lighten the trigger just a hair.
Eats everything I feed it, more accurate than I am with it.

Yes, very good 1911 for the buck!

I have the commander and absolutely love it. I noticed at the market hall show that prices have come down even more on it. I gave $627 and thought I had a good deal (I did) but there were several dealers at Market Hall that had it under $600 now.

I hear they're nice, but I just got a new Para USA Expert (not GI Expert) a few months ago and it's been flawless through the first 600+ rounds.
Lots of pistol for the money.

Ruger is solid. They'll shoot anything. I still lean towards the Kimber side due to finish but that's me. Ruger hasn't done me wrong with any of their products as of yet. Knocking on wood now.

Awesome pistol. I have had mine for a little over a year. it is accurate and was cheap. I paid 565 before tax and its been the best money i have spent on a handgun. Its not as tight as some 1911s but others cost twice as much.
